We are excited to announce that will will be offering FREE clinics sponsored by MDB (MN Developmental Basketball) starting on Thursday, August 19th. The times of the clinics will be 6:45pm to 7:45pm at Burnsville High School Gym A11. The gym will be open 15 minutes early for warmups and shoot around.

  • Please bring their own pre-filled water bottles
  • Please bring their own basketball if possible.  We will bring some just in case.
  • We will provide hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the gym
  • At this point masks are optional, however this guidance might change with D191 direction and requirements
  • Clinics will be facilitated on the dates below:
    • Thursday August 19th
    • Wednesday August 25th
    • Tuesday August 31st

Please invite any other girls who might be interested in playing basketball and taking advantage of the FREE clinics.

Shot Club

Why Shot Club? It is important to recognize that shooting on their own, outside of practices is one of the better ways to improve their shot and build muscle memory. Typically practices during the season are only 1.5 hours for two days a week which makes it very challenging to work on indivual shots and skill sets. Of course, that is not to say they won't work on shots in practice, however, the practices also have to move the collective team forward while working on plays, drills, and strategy to help the entire team improve in several areas.

We will be rewarding all participants from shot club at our banquet along with their results (assuming things are back to social gathering norms by then).

How does shot club work? Simply email   at the end of each month regarding how many shots your daughter made. We will send out some reminders along the way as well.

How long does it last? Beginning of June to End of September

What else? This year, to enhance shot club, we will be sharing some shot routines to help the girls with practicing on their own. We have also added some templates (attached google doc and xcel sheet) to utilze if you would like to print them or share them electronically with the girls or to return to us with totals. No obligations to utilize templates but hoping it makes things easier this year.

Burnsville High School Summer Camps

We are excited to inform you that Girls Traveling Basketball will be sponsoring your daughter to attend up to 3 free buddy lessons or individual lessons (or combination of each up to 3 maximum) at MDB - Minnesota Developmental Basketball again this year during our offseason. The girls can sign up for an individual lesson or sign up for buddy lessons which can be anywhere from 2-4 more girls and one coach.

This opportunity is only for girls who were registered for Burnsville Girls Traveling Basketball last year (sorry no exceptions).

You may sign up today, but in order to attend for FREE, parents must follow the two steps below.

1. Please sign and return the BAC - Burnsville Athletic Club Waiver to   - Alison has agreed to work with us and will not allow for free lessons if the waiver is not complete in advance.

2. Register with Alison at MDB in advance to allow us to enure the waiver is complete: Info is included at the bottom of this email.

As an organization, BAC - Bursnville Athletic Club has agreed to allow practices to begin and are requiring our partners or any sports practice we hold to adhere to MN Department of Health Guidlines as referrenced in the link below along with requiring all particpants to have a signed waiver. We want to ensure that our kids are able to begin practicing but more importantly are able to do so in a safe manner. We respect and understand any parent who is not comfortable with going back to practices right now as well.

Check out the latest return to play updates and suggestions from the MN Department of Health. We want to help provide you with updated information to help facilitate a safe return to youth sports.
