How do I register my Daughter for BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball?
A: We offer an online registration at www.bacsports.org
How many leagues are there and how are the grades determined?
A: There are four leagues that BAC players participate in: Mites: K-2nd grade; Squirts: 2nd – 4th grade; Intermediates: 5th-7th grade; Seniors: 8th grade-12th grade. Based on the grade the player is in at the time of registration.
2nd graders can play in either Mites or Squirts depending on their skill level. In general, if a 2nd grader has played softball before they are encouraged to move up to Squirts. 2nd grade is the only grade where a player is allowed to “play up” to the next league.
How are teams formed?
A: For Mites, Squirts and Intermediates the team formation is generally by geography and elementary school attending. Seniors are allowed to make their own teams. If a player at the Senior level doesn’t have a team or doesn’t have enough players for a complete team we will work with each family to place your daughter on a Senior team.
What is the cost to play and are scholarships available?
A: Mites - $50; Squirts - $95; Intermediates and Seniors - $125. Scholarships are available to families that have free or reduced lunch vouchers. Free lunch vouchers pay $25 and Reduced lunch vouchers pay half the cost of level registration fee.

A: BAC Girls Slowpitch Softball will field competitive travel teams at 12U, 14U and 16U. The age groups are determined based on the age of the player as of 12/31/23. The travel team fee will be an additional $100 over the normal registration fee. There wil be an opportunity for a 10u team as well depending on participation on tournmanet opportunities.
The teams will play in 4 tournaments: Bloomington (June early June; Watertown SD (June late June); Burnsville Invitational (July 13-14) and Minnesota State Tournament (July 27-28)
Tryouts will be held at the Savage Dome in early April. The tryout cost will be $20 (that will be applied towards Tournament team fees once a player has made a team).
If your daughter makes a team the tryout fee will be subtracted from the travel fee detailed above. Note, any out of pocket expenses for travel, hotels and meals are the sole responsibility of the player’s family and are not included in the travel team fee.
Players that want to play on a travel team must register with the BAC Girls Slowpitch program and participate on their rostered team for the league season.
Is it possible that my daughter may play on a different travel team than other girls in the same grade?
A: Yes. Travelling is based on age as of December 31 versus grade level. We see this happen primarily at the 7th grade and 9th grade age levels.

A: Annually the BAC Girls slowpitch softball program does a Heggie pizza fundraiser. The fundraiser is done to upgrade equipment, maintain/lower registration fees, and support scholarships. Each player will be required to sell a minimum of 4 pizzas or contribute a $20 "opt-out" donation.
